The Joint Finance-Personnel Committee passed the Mayors budget with a 1.93% increase and added $300,000 for Neighborhood Enhancement Funds to take the increase to 2.5%. Normally, council bonds for NE funds and we end up paying interest on it. Finance is bringing forward a spreadsheet to show the long term benefits. Of course nothing is a done deal until the full council amends and approves it on Tuesday.
